Manisharma is back
  • Manisharma, who gave many memorable hit albums to Kollywood audience, was not seen in action for some time now. And now, he is back with a film titled 'Apple Pennae'. The audio of the film, directed by R K Kalaimani and produced by K G Pandian, was released in Chennai on Thursday. Sa Re Ga Ma has acquired the music rights.
  • Newcomers play lead roles in 'Apple Pennay', which is touted as a romantic entertainer. Mayilsamy, Roja and Thambi Ramaiah are also there in key role. Mani Sharma started his career as a keyboard player in the late 1980s under the guidance of music director Sri Satyam. As a keyboard player, he toured with S P Balasubrahmanyam. He used to work with Murali Krish and Chakri Policherla under Maestro Ilaiyaraaja in Chennai.
  • Mani was also a keyboard player for Raj-Koti and M. M. Keeravani. He was approached by Ram Gopal Varma for the background score of Antham. Varma asked him to compose a single song for his film and he agreed. Then he continued to compose background music for other films like Raathri (Raat), Preminchukundam Raa etc. His first film as a full-time music composer was Super Heroes. Later he got the breakthrough with Megastar Chiranjeevi's 1998 film Bavagaru Bagunnara, and he gained mainstream recognition after the audio became a superhit.
  • He composed music for many movies starring top stars of Tollywood. Some of them are Ganesh, Ravoyi Chandamama, Bavagaru Bagunnara, Choodalani Vundi, Iddaru Mitrulu, Jai Chiranjeeva, Stalin, Anji, Indra, Tagore, Annayya, Kushi, Theenmaar, Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu, Aadi, Lakshmi Narasimha, Pokiri, Chirutha, Billa, Athadu, Athidhi, Kantri, Rachcha and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. He was the keyboard player in the China Olympics Official Musical Troupe in Gymnastics Competition. He is very famous for his melodies and he is often referred as Melody King.
